i really love to use candles and flame lanterns for the proper lighting at parties at my house...

it also works well for tree triming parties...
mulled wine and nice background music add just the right touch, that and a roaring fire in the fireplace...

it really is something that i love : )

Hey, guys, trying to give everyone a heads up. Something weird is going on on Yahoogroups and I can't access my accounts at all, and anything I try to reply to bounces back as if the group does not exist.

Meaning I can'.t moderate any of the lists I moderate.

Please put the word out on lists you know I am on, if you can. Also, if you can find any help numbers please send them to me. I can't access the help stuff, either, beyond sending a request for help, which is so far being ignored.

If you are trying to join, I can't approve you at this point. I'm not ignoring you.

Freaking ironic, considering I used that service for our database because I thought it might be more stable than Tribe.

It's 3 weeks to Pennsic. Usually about this time, the Pennsic tribes are wild with "what am I going to wear" and "how do i.." and "safety at night Oh Noes!" and other conversations. Seems very few people are around this year!

Is it going to be a dead year?
Is there a new social place for Pennsic peeps?
Has the economy cut most people's internet off?
Has the world ended since I left the mainland in March?

Sleeping arrangements

OK I have been sleeping on futon mattresses on a variety of bed frames for a number of years at pennsic. on this most recent trip I began considering less bulky alternatives to a futon mattress. I have never had any luck at all with air mattresses (they always seem to spring a leak on me.) This got me to thinking about asking others who camp at Pennsic. What do you sleep on? How easy is it to transport and care for?

I am specifically interested in mattresses here. I already have a good bed frame design I have refined over the years... but I would really like to find something less bulky and comfortable as a mattress.

We loaned a journal to a lord by the name of Karsten, who used to be with the Back Gate people, but this year was with a different camp we think called Northern something something. Snax, of Wulf Den, would like to contact him so if anyone knows him (he carries a goat horn to sip from) and has an email address or other contact info, much appreciation to all.

Hi all. I wonder who out there still remembers ol' good Godfree. I have been gone from tribe for about a year. My life had been a roller coaster and I am now able to come back an find my ol' mates. Since the last time I had posted I was going through some tough times. Along with depression that was brought on my the death of my mother two years ago, my health had been steadily going down hill. I was smoking like a chimney, gaining weight, and all around not participating in anything other than sitting on the couch. Then I got a wake up call from my Doctor. I was at that time tipping the scales at 240 lbs and being all of 5'8". The doctor said that I had very high blood pressure and that I was now and for ever more diabetic. At that point I put my foot down and what ever else I was eating at that time. The reason why I went to the doctor in the first place was because I started to exercise to loose some weight but shortly after starting I found that I was loosing my eye sight and was unbelievably thirsty. I knew I was in trouble. That was in the beginning of this past June.

It is now two months later. I have lost, through exercise and proper diet, 35 pounds. I hope by next week I will be below 200 pounds for the first time in 10 years. I have gotten my sugar levels so under control that the doctor says that I might soon be able to stop taking my medicine to control my diabetes and that I have done such a good job getting back into shape that I now can go off of my blood pressure meds. Which I have been on for the past 4 years.

I am feeling much better and have new hope and drive to continuing my efforts. Starting today I am going back on the nicotine patch. I had been on it early last month but I was doing too much too fast that I was putting too much pressure on myself at one time. Now I feel I can control my smoking habit without pissing off and biting the heads off of my friends and family. My goal is to drop at least another 25 pounds down to, for me an unimaginable goal two months ago, 180 pounds.

My wife Erissa is also doing very very well. She has joined me on the diet an has drop an good amount of weight. How much I am not sure. But she is good finer every day.

My family and I will be at war next year. We are coming back for the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Blackskull Clan. Hopefully there will be a big camp turnout of most if not all the old member of camp along with there husbands, wives and children. I am already looking forward to seeing everyone. Especially D'ner, The Gypsies or the swamp, everyone at Pentwyvern, the Pirates on B block, and my mates over in Vlads'. I have tons of reading to catchup on so if I seem to be sporadic and out dated on my post please forgive me.

Does anybody know what was up with the endless construction in a camp down around where the Family swimming hole used to be? About all day, everyday at Pennsic this year, there was hammering, and hammering, and more hammering. From what I could see, it looked like a rather large flatbed trailer that was having something akin to a mobile home built on top of it.

Maybe we're going all upscale and will have condos in the swamp next year. Swimming hole converted into luxury resort?

Just wondering.

(i like to spell it this way...)

what is it that makes you happy?

here's a small thing that makes me happy... fun foods, examples:

... a hardboiled egg, cut in half lengthwise, with a saltine cracker stuck point first into the yolk of just one egg half.. this makes a cute little sailboat !!!

...cooked hotdoggs, with one end sliced lengthwise halfway down the hotdogg-four times...this makes eight 'tenticals'... and vola! you've got an octo-wienie!!!

...or maybe just core an apple, and fill the center with chunky style peanut butter... or maybe make a jack-o-lantern face in the cored apple first, before filling it with peanut butter..

i try to keep some cinnimin swirled in a tub of margerine or butter in the fridge... this way i can use some splenda to make quik and easy cinnimin toast...

: )

mmmMMmmmm : )

We got home last night around 830pm. One of the cats hadn't showed herself to our catsitter (my mom) for the whole 2 weeks we'd been gone. She met us at the top of the steps as soon as we got home - she was fine.

I love Pennsic. I'd love it even more if there were more flushies available and maybe some real shower facilities. I could go another week or two if I had those.

There's just some strange difference between being clean at Pennsic, and that first real shower when you step out onto a bathroom rug - when you feel truly clean instead of mostly clean with a little bit of gritty.

Can't wait till next year though. :)

I cannot wait for next year! As Owain Phyfe said, it is an experience both epic and surreal.

Hi, everyone! Thought I'd come out of lurk mode to ask for some advice...
My boyfriend and I are considering making a period tent for next Pennsic because I've heard that it's cheaper than buying one ready-made. The trouble is, we have no idea where to start. So if anyone here at TVU has sage advice, I'd be forever grateful.

Thanks!

C'mon, you know you've got one. This time last year we were building our yurt. 22 days, working 2-3 hours a night and we got it done just 3 days before zero night.
So I'm counting my blessings this year that I'm just making garb! What are you working on?

Hey guys,

I am thinking about teaching a class or two this year. It would be my first experience at teaching but what better place than Pennsic? I know there's already several henna related courses but what about a "History of Body Art" that covers permanent and non-permanent art. Or maybe a class for "Creating Period Looking Body Art" (safely, of course!) for woad, maori tattoos, war paints and the like. I know its way too late for the class to be published in the book but it would still be cool to give it a shot. Let me know what you guys think, I am very curious as to whether or not this would generate any interest...

I doubt this would affect anyone except maybe those coming in from the Michigan and NW Ohio areas, but best to avoid I-90 eastbound around the Cleveland area. The I-90 inner belt bridge that takes you through Cleveland is closed periodically for repair, and now they're closing I-490, the main detour, overnight for ramp work at least a few times this week.

Drop down to the turnpike or some other southerly route before you get as far east as Cleveland to avoid the mess.

Anyone else use twitter? I'm on there and I keep searching for the term "pennsic" i like seeing other people's real time comments about prep. I should be using it up until the garb is on and I straighten out my tent. (since I can access it from my phone) Then starting back up again as we hit the road home next month. I know it seems funny to use new websites in reference with going back in time but I think it's fun to keep in touch, much like you'd look out the window for other war-wagons.

So if you're on twitter use a #pennsic hashtag if you can so it's easy to search for, and I'll be keeping a look out for ya!

although there is usually a map available in the pennsic handout...
it's usually on two pages, and cannot easily be removed cleanly from that booklet...

it would be nice to have a pennsic map that can be folded up and easily carryed in a small pouch... or loincloth

It sure seems like there are a LOT of people here who I never saw post on P.net.

I think it's awesome that in addition to seeing old friends I've met through P.net, I'll get to meet a ton of new people from tribe.net.
So...with that in mind, I thought I might bring back the "How do you pronounce your name" thread.
I'm sure I'd stumble over a few of the more unusual names I've seen so far on the tribes.

I made up the spelling of mine, so it's kinda strange.

Azhrde is pronounced like "azure-DEE" only the ZH sounds like a French "j", as in "soup du JOUR".

After Troll and setting up the big tent for my household to puppy pile into the first night, I'm going for a walk in the dewy night.

I will be leaving for Pennsic in about an hour. OK, I will have to be passing the area late today so if it is still light out we intend to swing by.

We have been joking about just setting up camp in the parking area and getting a head start on the 'first night' party.

But the leave time for me will be Friday night to arrive the first day. When do you plan to leave to get there?

Packing for War, listening to Raquy and Friends CD "Masmudi," on a sunny light breeze 70 degree day in Pennsylvania, confirmed Ursa dog's reservations at Puppy Pennsic............Am I happy? (rhetorical question!)

Thots of going home in my head, dancing to the breeze and the music. Nervana.............What could be better? Answer: NEXT Sunday! But this is good enough for now. I'm sure others here are going thru the same.......shall we dance? play? have a drink?

Right now, 5 days, 1 hour, miscellaneous minutes. See you soon! (I'll be one of those with tears in my eyes at troll!)

Fizzball Rules and Info

Hi all,

Due to some questions and requests I thought I'd post some info about this year's tournament. The 9th Annual Knowne World Fizzball Championship Of the Knowne World will happen Wed the 6th starting at 1PM at the Rogue Camp located on the southern half of E-26 across from Stony Trail. Brought to you once again by the Rogues and D.U.M.B.A.S.S., the Drunk Understaffed Managing Body of Asinine Swamp Sports.

Registration for a Team is $15 and can be done at Rogue Camp anytime during daylight hours from Monday the 27th until there are 20 teams registered. My advice on this is to not delay. We turn more and more teams away every year. Cold refreshments will be provided, but its hard to provide enough for all the thirsty fizzballers and spectators, so bringing something for the coolers or to share is always welcome.
The tournament can take a while, especially if your favorite team is doing well and advancing into the later rounds. Bringing a picnic basket is never a bad idea. Make a day of it.

We might have hot dogs, but we're not promising anything.

All are welcome, but we must stress the adult nature of the Fizzball game. This isn't your fathers ball park. There will mass comsumption of alcohol, gratuitous nudity and flagrant disregard for personal safety. So let's leave the little ones at home, eh?

We're looking forward to hosting this classic event once again and seeing some new teams emerge to battle for the coveted Whacker Trophy. See you there!

FIZZBALL RULES:

1) FOUL TIPS ARE STRIKES.....ALWAYS. A FOUL TIP IS ANY CAN THAT DOESN'T OPEN FULLY, NO MATTER HOW FAR IT GOES.

2) A HOMERUN IS ONLY COUNTED AS A HOMERUN IF IT GOES OVER THE HOME RUN LINE. IF IT GOES UNDER, IT IS ONLY A DOUBLE (2 POINTS)

3) A PIECE OF CAN ONLY COUNTS FOR POINTS IF IT CLEARS THE BATTING CIRCLE

4) ANYONE WHO THROWS A BAT WILL BE PENALIZED 1 POINT

5) A FIZZBALLER CAN ONLY PLAY FOR ONE TEAM PER TOURNAMENT

6) NO MORE THAN 2 TEAMS PER CAMP

7) A BATTER CAN CALL FOR A NEW PITCHER AT ANY TIME

8) THE REFEREE CAN AWARD STYLE POINTS AT HIS DISCRETION

9) IF A PLAYER ISNT IN ROGUE CAMP WHEN HIS TURN AT BAT COMES, WE WILL NOT WAIT, THE PLAYER'S AT BAT IS LOST.

10) TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE WILL BE DETERMINED RANDOMLY THIS YEAR. THIS MEANS IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE TEAMS THERE IS A CHANCE THEY WILL HAVE TO PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER, EVEN IN THE FIRST ROUND.

11) LOSING TEAM ALWAYS CLEARS THE FIELD

12) IF THERE IS NO REPRESENTATIVE FROM A TEAM IN ROGUE CAMP WHEN THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY, WE CAN NO LONGER SHUFFLE THE BRACKETS, THEY WILL FORFEIT THE GAME...................................SLACKERS BEWARE.

13) IN CASE OF A TIE, ONE BATTER, ELECTED FROM EACH TEAM, WILL BAT 3 MORE CANS TO DETERMINE THE WINNER. IF THIS ALSO ENDS IN A TIE THEN EACH TEAM WILL AGAIN SELECT A PLAYER TO CHUG A WARM, NASTY FIZZBALL BEER. WINNER IS THE FASTEST.

14)THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON THE LENGTH OR WEIGHT OF A BAT, BUT STRIKING SURFACES CAN BE NO LARGER THAN 2" OR 3" IN DIAMETER.

15) ALL BATS MUST HAVE A LANYARD.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer them at least semi-coherently.
The Pennsic "Kübler-Ross" Model

Since discovering that many of the rest of you get "Pennsic Anxiety" dreams too...maybe this, too, is a shared experience.

In that spirit I give you...

"The Five Stages of Pennsic Pre-Prep..."

1. DENIAL: "WHAT? It can't possibly be August already."

2. ANGER: "F#$%ing sewing! F#$%ing packing! F#$%ing car trouble! F#$%ing shorted paycheck! Heat dust sweat crowding potential camp draaAaaAaaahma, driving driving driving driving (and more driving) I can't take it not again arRrrgGh!"

3. BARGAINING: "C'mon. It'll be worth it once you're out there. There's, um, unicorns and rainbows actually. And Dove Bars growing on trees and s***."

4. DEPRESSION: "Why do I do this to myself every year?"

5. ACCEPTANCE: "Well, better go load up the car..."

*sigh*

Well. Better go load up the car. :P

So, every Pennsic, I try to find a few people I know to come do the party circuit with me, hitting the parties. Problem is, most of my friends are burnt out by "the party scene" and don't have it in them to go do the nightly rounds.

So, I'm looking for a few good people that are looking to party with, enjoy the parties, swap stories, create some controlled chaos, etc with me at the parties. Don't care if you're a lord or lady, hitched or not. Just looking to have an entourage to hit the Pennsic parties with. =)

They say there's strength in numbers, I say there's chaotic energy in numbers, so the more the merrier. We'll swap info and try to meet up someplace during the war when we all arrive, hang, bs, and go get our mugs filled and chill.

Pennsic dreams...again

I know this thread comes up every year, but I just had to start because...
I have been having a Pennsic dream every night for the last 2 weeks. Last night was so vivid, I didn't want to wake up. Our encampment was in the same place, but there were also tons of merchants in the front of our camp. I had nothing with me but a small overnight bag (because somehow this started as a air trip to Europe). No garb, boots, etc. But of course, the only thing I was worried about was that I had no mug.
Last week I dreamt I had no shirts with me at war, and the week before I dreamt I had no shoes. And then there was the one when somehow all my cats ended up sneaking to war in my car. What a pain that was!
The best thing about all these dreams is that I am at Pennsic every night! It's awesome!
Who else is enjoying War a few weeks early?

In light of all the new threads being resurrected, I wanted to make one specifically for this Pennsic.

It's Fergus's 20th Pennsic. My 9th. We're going for the whole two weeks. I have to come home (Hagerstown MD) some time during peace week for physical therapy on my elbow (sprained it falling at work in May - can't just skip the PT). As I see it, that'll just refresh me for War Week!

Those of you that have visited our camp during the day will remember Zach as the stout, short, dark curly haired guy, with the contagious smile. Those of you that came to our bardic or visited some evening when we had our fire going will remember him as the loveable pyromaniac that tended the fire that was somehow never big enough (even when people were moving back from the heat).

Zach was an easy-going fellow whose smile and pranks and laughter helped to keep a light-hearted mood in our camp. The type of person to instantly befriend a stranger entering our camp, Zach would usher people in, find them a seat, and offer them a drink before we hardly knew their names. It's just the sort of person he was...

To say that Zach will be missed would be a terrible understatement. He is mourned by his wife, Erlan (mka Maria), his parents, family, his Household, and SCA'dian friends too numerous to count.

I can guarantee that there will be many tears shed this War as we remember our fallen friend. Please feel free to stop by our camp, sit by our fire, share a personal story about Zach, spend a few moments enlarging the firepit, bring a log or two with you to toss on the fire, whatever personal tribute you would like to make to honor him.

May the Lord bless you Zach. May He grant you treasures in heaven that reflect all the joy you brought into the world around you.
Where to Go? What to See?

One of the more endearing aspects of going to Pennsic is the shear VOLUME of interesting and exciting things to do in a day/night. As a photographer one of the most frustrating things about this is knowing that no matter HOW COOL what you’re currently shooting is, there may be something going on somewhere else that MAY BE EVEN COOLER!

It seems I was able to wander all day long and stumble into events and locations that I found stunning. With the exception of the Opening Ceremonies and the Battlefield schedule it was catch as catch can.

What I would really like to know is what events are YOU looking forward to and just where they might be found and around what time they might be found. Bear in mind I am thinking of photographing what I see, so please don’t suggest places like the classic swimming hole, unless YOU are volunteering to pose for the nude photos…. (Hmmmmm…. Hmmmmmm…. Any takers? I hadn’t thought of that before… That could be a nice series, long hair trailing over shoulders into the water… ) And of course Tuchux camp is out too… I’ve been invited p but was told I’m “off the clock” if I come… LOL

Anyway, please let me know of any dances, performances, personal grudge fights, or “whatever” that I might take photos of….
Pennsic, PA Dreamin'

I finally had my first Pennsic dream of the year the other night. Thought I'd start a topic to see what others are dreaming about.

Here's mine:

We are on site and taking part of an annual Pennsic tradition - the Sinking of the Dragon. Apparently evrey year we take a car shell and sink it to the bottom of the river (mind you the river is about the size of the Detroit River in my dream). What was weird about this car is that it was the little white piece of crap car that Dan Majerle (basketball player I went to college with) used to drive on campus. Dan is so tall that he took out the front seat and drove the car from the back seat - guess that was stuck in my subconscious.

Anyway, what are you dreaming about?

Pennsic, PA dreamin'
on such a "summer's" day...

There is a party that is hosted down in the bog. (I know big duh) However this one is unique. It is for a certain part of mundane society that is sometimes membership or enjoyment of is not always broadcast. I may be wrong but I thought that they had different types of "furniture" and such that you could try out and I believe is invitation only. I may be mistaken though. If anyone can help tell me when this party is that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.

The deadline for this second call for articles is September 1, 2009.
Please try to keep the articles between 800 and 3000 words (one to four
8.5x11 pages). Please submit them via Microsoft Word files, or in the
body of an email to: kwh@sca.org .

Authors of existing articles in the KWH are invited to refresh, renew,

"I was travelling in Tasmania in the summer of last year and witnessed what I believed as dancing wallabies. I was intoxicated at the time and so put it down to the poppies I had consumed earlier that day. However after reading this article that experience made a lot of sense.

Prizes announded for Charity Poker Run at War

Gentles,

Every year or so, my camp does a charity fundraiser for some worthy charity. A few years ago, our household champion fought a thousand fights to raise money for a Czech orphanage. That raised abut 1500 dollars. Last year, we had a "Drag Race" that raised five hundred and twenty eight dollars for the Beaver County Women's Center, which is a woman's shelter in the Pennsic Area.

This year is the best fund raising idea ever.

This year, we are holding a Poker Run. A poker run is an idea we are stealing from Biker Culture.

Five camps across the site have volunteered to host as way points, each with their own activity. There may be drinking involved, but the rules say that there will be an alcohol free option at every stop.

The Charity this year is Family Links, which is a charity group in the Pittsburgh area that does everything. They do job placement counseling. They do domestic Violence counseling. I am told that they run the safest shelters in the Pittsburgh area. They are good folks.

Needless to say, this is the most ambitious fund raiser we have ever done.

OK, at this point, less than thirty days out, The Poker Run is a Go.

The cost for a card is going to be twelve bucks in advance, or fifteen bucks on the night of the event. We're still working on where the cards will be available besides Omega Camp.

The Run will start at sundown on Wednesday of war week (about nine PM) and finish at Midnight. After Midnight, all cards become null and void. ALL CARDS MUST BE TURNED IN BY MIDNIGHT FOR PRIZES. The timing is so that people will still have the ability to shop at midnight madness, after helping others and having a great time.

Each way point will have a donation jar for individual donations to the charity. Each way point will be responsible for those jars until it is picked up on Thursday.

The prizes (Which have not been announced away from this forum yet) are;

A full suit of armor (sans helm) made by master armory dark victory armory. The winner can either wear it, use it as loaner gear, or dispose of it as they see fit.

I am betting that the winner will take it onto the field. Fifteen bucks is pretty cheap for a full suit of armor.

Of course, the winner can burn it, if they like, thus assuring that it will never be on the field. Please do not burn it up wind of me.

A beautiful, hand turned executive pen. This master wood turner was recommended to me with the phrase "This is the sort of pen that you sign the contract that says 'Not only am I taking over your company, but your wife is moving in with me, and you kids now call me the rich daddy'"

No details yet, but previous pens have been made from Brazillian rosewood, bavarian limewood, and beautiful, south American Lacewood.

Really guys, we don't normally, as working class schmoes, get a chance to own something like this.

A hand crafted Lyre from Bayrich Harpfenwerks. Well, I am making a lyre, and I live in Bavaria, so it is technically true. I feel really egotistical to be including my own work in this, but we are short of prizes. For those that might not be familiar, a Lyre is an early period form of harp. I make mine in the Germanic style.

Other prizes have been pledged, and will be announced as they become available.

If any of these prizes don't work out, then we will substitute a small (five to fifteen percent) of the net receipts. This is a standard practice with biker poker runs, but I don't want to do it. I want the charity to get as much cash as possible.

The camp prize is a canvass shade/fly painted by professional Philadelphia artist Jonathan Russel. It is intended at this point to include a full rig of stakes, poles and ropes.

So, Y'all come, and please spread the word. It will be fun, and you might just be able to remember it the next day.

And, you might win a harp.

its time for a break... we all need one :)

its time to stop being anxious for a few minutes...
and to sit for a few minutes... maybe outside... to slow our thoughts and allow ourselves to relax

feel at peace for a moment and breathe and feel the ground benieth us and the wind and the sky above

and know that i love all of you, you all help me by being yourselves and sharing that joy we have in the pennsic stuff...
it can be a whirl - wind adventure, but it is also a deeper slower drumm beat of shared dreams

thank you :D

Ok, so have you started your Pennsic Pile yet? Has it been assembled for some time now? What's gone missing? What do you have more of than you thought?

I dragged everything out this past weekend (that's how I celebrated Father's day I suppose - lol), and now it looks like a camp store has hurled all over my mancave! It's a good mess though - it indicates that Pennsic is creeping everso closer. Sweet!

I started a new job this year and just received word I could go to Pennsic for a whole week. Well, that isn't what got me excited. It was a co-worker asking about it and I showed her a picture...then my mind started going....

I can't wait for Pennsic now...Of course I still have to pre-register, I need a new air mattress, I have to repair garb, take in garb, make new garb, whip out the pack list....WOOHOO!

Thanks for letting me share....:)

Advice on a yurt

Yikes! I just got the news my campmate rented us a yurt for this year! What do I need to know about the care and feeding of a yurt? Are they waterproof? What about the floor - would a tarp work or what? We camp where there usually isn't a drainage problem, but best to be prepared. What about ventilation? Just when I pretty well had the tent thing down...::mutter:: ::mutter:: ::mutter::

Thanks in advance. Advice gratefully accepted!
"Upper Palaeolithic music could have contributed to the maintenance of large social networks, and thereby have helped facilitate the demographic and territorial expansion of modern humans" compared to the more "culturally conservative" and isolated Neanderthals, he said.

So, Neanderthals were "culturally conservative"?

Midsummer Night's Dream

At the risk of opening a can-O'-worms, and to get the Annual Swimming-Hole
arguments started early, I hereby throw the following out for discussion:

I propose to do a production of Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream"
this Pennsic, at the Swimming Hole.

There's already been a bit of discussion of this in the Pennsic Porno Tribe:
http://tribes.tribe.net/pennsicporn/thread/71bee86f-16a9-4e86-8946-cca8d1afdf2a
however I want to move the discussion out of there to (a) emphasize that I don't
intend to add any more innuendo than already exists in the script and (b) to recruit
actors. (I already have two people interested.)

What I have in mind is not to get a bunch of Shakespearean Actors to act in the nude,
but to get a bunch of naked people to do Shakespeare -- as opposed to drinking and
playing volleyball, as they usually do.

I'd like to line up people to cover the main roles, then fill in minor ones ad-hoc at Pennsic.

The first order of business is to contact the camp (Revelwood?) that actually "owns" the
Swimming Hole Anyone from there reading this?

I expect that this will be a pretty abbreviated version (maybe 1/2 hour) as I doubt people's
schedules and/or attention-spans would permit anything longer. ;-)

We'd be lucky to get in one full rehearsal.

Oh, and participants won't need to pack costumes.

|| Through education Dr. Steven C. Schlozman is an assistant
|| professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and a
|| lecturer at the Harvard School of Education. He is also an
|| avid sci-fi and horror fan - and, apparently, the world's leading
|| authority on the neurobiology of the living dead. He has even
|| drafted a fake medical journal article on the zombie plague,
|| which he calls Ataxic Neurodegenerative Satiety Deficiency
|| Syndrome, or ANSD (the article has five authors: one living,
|| three "deceased" and one "humanoid infected").

I'm sure this relates to Pennsic, somehow.
