Hum..it's 11:58 here in Japan...if I were at Pennsic in the first week at this time, I'd probably be in bed or stumbling around like a stoned zombie, wussing out due to jet lag.
But in the second week? I'd be wandering around, hitting parties, or having a nice drink at Gabriel's Landing, wearing some amazing stuff, and having a great time.

I scared them so much that they not only stamped my paperwork priority but when I came back with the documents (that they don't mention on their freakin' website) they shoved me to the head of the line and gave me the next available clerk instead of a second 1h and 37minute wait.

Fri, July 3, 2009 - 6:47 PMsince it's a little before 10pm I'd probably at the tail end of my evening freak out. all the rest of my camp has wandered off and figured out other places to get drunk, I'm trying to decide where to go, what drum to bring, should I have my fire gear and a change of fireproof clothes with me, how to carry it all,
or I'd be working at YIV
or on those blissful nights i'd have spent the evening talking away with my camp or listening to a singer untill we didn't notice that people are walking past and going to partys becasue we were having so much fun.
This pennsic, i'm injured so people will actually be able to find me sitting or laying right next to my own fire, or around the long table. -

As for what I'd be doing, it's 626 in the morning - I'd still be sound asleep on the Ghetti, getting ready to start waking up. I can't wait to see what a difference the canvas makes up there - I've been in canvas down by the lake for the last 4 years, I was in a modern tent for the two years before that down there, and in a modern tent on the ghetti or the b blocks before that.

Nothing will re-focus your mind like dueling coffee pots and a joke involving preferred lube for a trachiotomy. (and it only goes downhill from there...)
Depending on my timing, I'd also be saying "good morning" to D'ner. Then the punny business would really get out of hand...
It's all fun and games until someone snorts hot coffee.

Acknowledging that yes, I've again missed that 9am class that sounded interesting, and won't make the one at 10, either. And being very, very glad to be in camp vs. where I would normally be at this time on a Monday morning (work - ugh!!) -

Mon, July 6, 2009 - 10:05 AMI know I already answered this one but no one said we couldn't answer twice... now it's 1pm and if I were at Pennsic I'd be somewhere in/around the merchant/class area, most likely sitting in the soul-sucking chair at Argent Fox.
Wilfleda, I totally hear ya on the missing the 9am class and probably the 10am class too. We're moving back up to my Barony's camp this year so I won't have the hill to keep me down. Being in W10 I wake up early (8am maybe?) and then sit there for 2 hours trying to get the willpower to climb that (*&^&*%^!) hill. By the time I have food in me and have worked up the strength, courage, and energy to make it up the hill it's 10am or later.
This year I'll be in N22, and it's a straight walk to everything. :) I love my household, but I prefer the 'gheti for camping. -

Mon, July 6, 2009 - 1:23 PMIt's not the hill that gets me, nor the occasional hang-over. (Well, ok, sometimes it is!) It's the relative peacefulness around the lake in the morning. It really does feel like going to the big city when you get to the top of that hill...and I guess I just prefer to stay in the "country" as much as possible. More relaxing, at least for me, and I'm finding that's what I enjoy most.

Soon I'll stumble over to the Chalkman and bug them for a bit. Then i'll take a shower to sober up and roll right into Woad Wednesday. Which means I'll get mostly naked, and paint myself blue.
