Other than that, as far as movies go, not many costume ideas for adults;
other than be accompanied trick or treating by overdressed Chihuahuas! -

A green fairy costume and Gossamer(from Bugs Bunny). I have the dress/makeup/wings/bottle and I know where to find a green wig for the green fairy. Then I have a tophat shaped Gossamer hat,which I will then add a fake fur boa under to hide my face. Will probably wear a black or red velvet dress with it. -

Mon, October 6, 2008 - 12:35 PMA friend made a suggestion that I think I will take....it's cheap, easy and edible (well most of it anyway). I will buy some rope and a can of oatmeal so I can go as an 80's rock band.

And we cannot wear garb (Rules, you know)...
And there is an edible prize involved...
I found 2 old Minnesota Fighting Saints (tm) jerseys from the 1970's for us.
I'm relatively certain no one will remember the hockey team, but I was a big fan as a kid. -

but maybe i'll try out a variation of a sheet ghost... its really a spooky costume if you can do it right

and as said in your other thread on o dark thirty - huge house party here. I think we're going with a slaughterhouse theme -

Sun, October 19, 2008 - 2:56 PMI was upstairs paying bills when suddenly I hear my name called in the most pitiful voice. My husband, who usually goes by the name ChrisP, was working on his costume. He's going to be a Rice Krispy Treat. Go figure. However, he got stuck in the box he was using to make the costume. It didn't have arm holes in it yet. I still can't figure out how he got in it that way, but he managed. I laughed so hard I had to pee. Unfortunately he was getting a little freaked out and claustrophobic so I had to help him right then and there.
I've since cleaned myself up but I haven't stopped laughing. -

Thu, October 23, 2008 - 10:22 AMC'mon...who here among us hasn't waited til the last minute and thrown together something from their garb closet? : ) Why, just last year I wore my outfit that I made for Bachanalia (mostly because my man went as King Leonides from 300). I was going as a Spartan woman, but I made myself fake nipples to wear in my bra, so I'd more closely resemble the long-nipple women that were in 300. Must've been cold on that soundstage! -

My sister is having a party too, I'm going as "Fat Boy George". I have a 5X men's long sleeved white t-shirt,white sweatpants,chuck taylor sneakers, a black vest, a dreadlock wig and a bowler. Plus I have a book with a lot of pics of him to work with for the make-up. -

and you could adjust the size of the bubbles on the floor-model...
...i was playing with the bubbles for ~45 minutes at the store...
now i gotta practice at home, hopefully i will get to set it up on the roof neart the front door of my house

I like seeing the teanagers trying to throw something together just so they can get candy. I always give them a hard time about being to old for this. I just hope its not snowing then. -

It's a behind the scenes of Saw II which had a scene of a girl fishing around in a pit full of needles. It eventually shows how they affixed a bunch of needles to her skin. I think something similar could be done with those clear blister bandaids and some makeup. -

Tue, November 3, 2009 - 4:25 PMHope everybody had a blast for Halloween. I know I did at the karaoke house party I went to. (Yes, I'm letting my geek shine through.) The Pulp Fiction costume went off swimmingly, with only a little fear in the eyes of the children when they saw the bloody nose and the needle sticking out of my chest. In the end, I simply used Scotch tape and a kid's medicine syringe for the needle in the chest. It held all night.
Of course, I had to sing "Rehab" first. -
